ESCAPEES NORTH EAST CHAPTER 3 Annual Meeting Minutes
September 8, 2022 President: Peg Shafer – absent Treasurer: John Caprio Secretary: Cheryl Pease
Two officers present were accepted by the members attending and John (Treas.) stood in as our absent President during the meeting. Meeting opened at 10:00a.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance to our flag. Members, new members and guests were welcomed. Secretary’s report was read and accepted. Treasurer’s report was read and accepted. Our first order of business was to elect new officers. We need a President, Secretary and Treasurer. Sadly, our current President has notified us she is unable to fulfill the position and we should elect a new President at this rally. Both John & I have been in office for 4 years and are ready to move on. I’m happy to say that one of our members, Elliot Thomas, did offer to take the Treasurer position. We stll need members to step forward if Chapter 3 is going to survive. Right now, we are the oldest chapter, since 1984. Looking ahead, we have changed the date of our Lobsterfest Rally back to the month of August 15–20, 2023. This is tentative only until October 31, 2022, at which time if we do not get any response from members to help keep this chapter going, the rally will be canceled, and the chapter will dissolve. Since there was no other business to discuss, a motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Peter Ward and seconded by Rick Sorensen. Meeting adjourned at 10:25am.
Respectfully Submitted, Cheryl Pease, Secretary
